TAKEN VS TAKEN 2

I saw Taken 2 the other day and it was okay. I enjoy Liam Neeson, he gets good parts in movies. He keeps the action rocking, but I must say I enjoyed Taken more than Taken 2. Maybe Taken 3 will be even better than both.

Personal Movie Collection

One Night With The King is one of my favorite movies. My husband purchased it for me the other night to add to my personal movie library. My daughters and I watched it last night before turning in to bed. The message of faith and hope in this movie is very powerful, I love it. The part right before Esther goes before the King in court, she speaks with Haggai. He pleads with her not to go and risk her life. Esther tells Haggai that the best part about the story of David and Goliath is how David was victorious not because he fought well but because he "BELIEVED" well. Esther was going before the King believing that God was going to have His way whether she succeeds or perishes. It's a great way to live and it falls in line with the scriptures; it's impossible to please God without faith. Faith without works is dead! This is definitely a movie worth having in your personal movie collection at home. Pop it in when you need a little pick me up or boost in a time where things aren't going to good.

MAKE TIME

I know there's only 24 hours in a day but we really must make time for God. In the midst of our daily busy schedules we kind of put God on the backburner, which is unacceptable. Whenever we are in need of a miracle or something less complicated we have no problem crying out to God. Things start falling apart and all of a sudden you have time to pray. The Lord wants our time, attention, and our hearts everyday. He doesn't want us to be the kids who only come around when all hell is breaking loose. As long as everything is going great in our lives we don't as so much give God a shout out. As Christians we really have to bring our bodies, minds, and hearts under subjection. Everyone gets off track sometimes but we can get back in line, it's not to late. Make time for God and I promise you will feel so much better.

God bless!!!

CLASSICS VS CURRENT

SIPPING MY MORNING COFFEE AND THINKING ABOUT HOW THE CLASSIC MOVIES DIFFER FROM CURRENT MOVIES. LOVE SCENES BACK THEN WERE ABOUT LOVE, NOW IT'S ALL ABOUT LUST AND EXPLICIT SEX. WOMEN ARE BEING CALLED EVERY UNHOLY NAME UNDER THE SUN. MEN AND WOMEN ALIKE ARE BEING EXPLOITED SEXUALLY. THERE ARE SOME MOVIES THAT SHOW LOVE AND TENDERNESS BETWEEN COUPLES AND I CAN APPRECIATE THAT. HOW OFTEN CAN YOU TAKE YOUR WHOLE FAMILY TO A MOVIE THAT ISN'T GOING TO SHOW LOTS OF PROFANITY, SEX SCENES, MURDER, ETC?

WHEN I ORDER MOVIES THAT I INTEND TO WATCH WITH MY CHILDREN, IT HAS TO BE A DISNEY MOVIE OR A CLASSIC MOVIE. NOW BEING THAT I HAVE TEENAGE SONS, THEY AREN'T ALWAYS HAPPY ABOUT THAT BUT I HAVE A 9 YR OLD SON AND TWO YOUNG DAUGHTERS 4 YRS OLD AND 9 MONTHS OLD. WE AS PARENTS, HAVE TO PROTECT OUR CHILDREN'S INNOCENCE. UNFORTUNATELY THE MOVIE INDUSTRY DOESN'T MAKE THAT AN EASY TASK BUT IT HAS TO BE DONE.
