MEMORIAL DAY 2011

HAD A LOVELY MEMORIAL DAY OUT WITH THE FAMILY. WE SPENT THE DAY AT THE BEACH. THE WATER WAS STILL SOMEWHAT TO COLD TO SWIM. I GOT MY FEET WET BUT THAT'S ABOUT IT, BUT THE KIDS HAD A GOOD TIME. MY DAUGHTER WOULDN'T DARE GET IN ONCE SHE FELT THE CHILLED WATER RUN ACROSS HER TOES. MY SONS WENT IN FULL FORCE AND HAD A BALL THOUGH. MY HUSBAND AND I JUST VIDEO TAPED AND TOOK PICTURES OF THE BOYS AT PLAY. I ENJOYED THE SUNSHINE AND THE SOUND OF THE WAVES CRASHING AGAINST THE SHORE LINE.

ONCE WE LEFT THE BEACH WE HEADED TO THE GROCERY STORE TO GRAB SOME HOT DOGS, TURKEY BURGERS, ROLLS, SODAS, ICE CREAM, CHIPS, AND CANDY. I GRILLED THE DOGS AND BURGERS, MADE SOME FRENCH FRIES AND CALLED IT DINNER. I WAS IN THE MOOD FOR SOMETHING CHOCOLATY SO I HEADED BACK OUT TO GRAB SOME CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES FROM THE 7 11 UP THE STREET. I ENJOYED THAT WITH A GLASS OF MILK AND RETIRED FOR THE EVENING. ALL IN ALL I HAD A GREAT MEMORIAL DAY. HOPE YOU DID AS WELL. GOD BLESS!

THIS WEATHER IS SO C-R-A-Z-Y!

Oh my goodness! I know it's supposed to be Spring but it's feeling more and more like Winter everyday here in New Jersey. It's really a shame that we still have to dress in layers in the month of April. What's up with that? This weather keeps you trapped indoors because it's to cold to be outside doing anything. I am going to grab some popcorn, Lemonade, and a movie. Going to watch "Roman Holiday"  I love Audrey Hepburn. I watched "Breakfast @ Tiffany's last night. Oh, I may even bake some brownies and have a glass of milk with that instead of the popcorn and lemonade. Have a great night! God bless!

So ridiculous!!!!

Okay, so my oldest son's progress report arrived about two wks ago. It shows him failing his BBT course. So naturally I'm pissed and demanding an explanation from my son about why he has a damn F. I sternly tell him he better do whatever he needs to do to bring his grade back up to a B or better. I'm telling him that this is Senior year and there is no room for failure. I am telling him how he will not graduate if he fails classes and will end up in adult school for a diploma. He tells me he has a big workload in this particular course this semester and maybe he has fallen behind. He vows to do better. We get another progress report in the mail on Friday. Why would another progress report be coming out again so soon after the other? I am baffled because this progress report shows him getting a C in his BBT course. I'm like what the hell? So Monday my husband calls the school and asks them what is going on? One report says F and the next says C, which one is it? No one answers the phone, as usual, so he leaves the message. Finally we get a call back but we are out. Message on my answering service is from the guidance counselor. She says, the computer made a mistake and the whole class got an F by accident. Okay, but if you knew this two weeks ago, why didn't you call and let us know? You could have sent an email or text or something. Imagine if I would have punished my child because the teacher didn't feel the damn need to call and let us know she typed in the wrong damn grade! I just don't know!

GLOOMY MONDAY

Just another gloomy Monday. The day started out with rain and grey skies. Later on the sun poked it's head out for about twenty minutes and then retired for the day. There's nothing worse than a grey, rainy, gloomy Monday when you have lots to do. All you want to do is nap and lay around when you have to cook, clean, run errands, and do laundry.

I am happy that I did get some writing in this morning before the baby awoke. Once she became fully awake she wanted everything in the fridge from cereal to pizza!  Monday will be over in a few hours and I'm hoping Tuesday brings sunshine along for the ride.

Untitled

WHILE THE STORMS OF LIFE ARE RAGING OUT OF CONTROL
JESUS IS THE ONE WHOSE HAND I WILL HOLD
TRYING TO FIND MY WAY THROUGH THE DARK
WITH PAIN AND CONFUSION CONSTRICTING MY HEART
PUMPING SO FIERCELY IT MAY BURST APART

EYES FULL OF TEARS
SO I CAN'T FIND MY WAY
WHEN WILL THIS ENDLESS NIGHT
TURN INTO A SUNNY DAY
OLD ISSUES, NEW ISSUES
WHEN WILL THE FRUSTRATION END
ISSUES WHEN YOU WAKE UP
AND ISSUES WHEN YOU GO TO BED

WHEN CAN I EXHALE
AND SMILE A BIG SMILE
WHEN CAN I EXPEL
AND REPEL
THE EVILS OF THE EVERYDAY
JUST WANT TO FEEL THE JOY
OF THE LORD EVERY NIGHT AND DAY

TIME TO GRAB A WORD FOR THE DAY
READ MY BIBLE, GIVE GOD THE PRAISE
FAST AND PRAY THE BLUES AWAY
BE ENCOURAGED BY GOD'S PROMISES
AND BE BLESSED TO SEE ANOTHER DAY
PUT ON A GARMENT OF PRAISE
SING AND DANCE BEFORE THE GLORY OF THE LORD
AS DAVID DID BACK IN THE BIBLE DAYS
LIFT YOUR VOICE AND RAISE YOUR HANDS
TIL ALL OF THE HEAVENS REJOICE
WALLOW AWAY IN PITY
OR LIVE IN VICTORY
IT'S YOUR CHOICE

The Power of Love........

It's amazing how babies know when their mommy isn't having the best of days. I love all my children but it seems like my daughter feels me a bit more than my sons. Although she's the youngest and the boys have been with me longer, that compassion and connection isn't as strong. I guess as time goes by and they get older they are more into their own lives and don't take notice as much as anymore. Just yesterday I was sitting on my bed, talking to the Lord in prayer, but silently. She couldn't hear what I was saying in my mind, but you would have thought she could because of her actions. As I sat there wondering about the things I have endured in life and when I could have a great day for a change. No migraines, no fibroids pain, a day without feeling sluggish and ran down, in need of a major nap. I just wanted a day where I felt great and so very happy and rejuvenated. Just then, my 3 year old daughter, climbs up on my bed beside me. Gently she stood up, wrapped her little arms around my neck, pressed her little face up against mine, and says I love you so much mommy! She had the biggest, sincerest, sweetest smile on her face. No matter how low you may be feeling, a kind word from a sweet little, sincere soul can chase your blues away. She encourages me as God gives me the strength to press my way through the day in the midst of the pain and tiredness. Love is the biggest motivator and the best medicine there is.

DREAM DESTINATIONS!!!!

We all have a few places in mind for our dream destinations. An extraordinary place on earth that you would love to visit and just stay a while. A place where all "Stay-At-Home" mom's dream of going so they can relax and be catered to for a change. A place where we don't have to cook, clean, do laundry, dishes, grocery shop, or help anyone with homework. The atmosphere is sugar sand beaches, fun and blue skies, filled with sunshine and happiness! Tropical is the scenery, wardrobe is anywhere from nearly bare to fine evening apparel. Whatever you choose, it's all up to you. For company, you can have just you and your mate or have a few of your nearest and dearest friends join you as well. Your own private paradise. My dream destination, Musha Cay, The Islands of Copperfield Bay in the Bahamas. Absolutely beautiful!!!

WHAT DOES GOD HAVE FOR US TO DO?

Is it just me or is anyone else tired of the same ole same ole? I love the Lord and I know His word is true and I am so excited about the things He's done. When you read the bible and see how great miracles took place back then, it's so amazing. It's crazy how those who walked with Jesus and saw it all up close and personal could have had any doubts! I wasn't one of the 12 Disciples that had the blessed pleasure to walk with Jesus and be taught by God himself but I believe in everything the word says about Him. When you read about how the power of the Holy Spirit gave men of God the strength to perform miracles as well, you can't help but wonder where is it now? What are the saints of God not doing now that they were doing back then? There are some saints that are walking in their gifts of healing, delivering, and setting free. I just want to know, what God has for me to do? I know it has to be more than just going to church, singing and clapping, hearing a message and then going back home Sunday after Sunday. I want to know my purpose and what God wants me to do to bring glory to His name. This year I really want to focus on being a better Christian and building a better relationship with God.

WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?

Every saved soul knows that it is impossible to please God without faith.( Hebrews chapter 11 verse 6)
What is faith? I'm glad you asked! Faith is believing in that which you cannot see. (Hebrews chapter 11 verse 1)
In order to increase your faith you must study God's word "Bible"  (Romans chapter 10 verse 17)

In the movie, One Night With The King, a Jewish orphan named Hadassah changed things in a great way. All that she accomplished was done by Faith in God. Her faith took her from poverty to the King's Palace. Once she became Queen, Esther didn't forget God or where she came from. When the state decrees that all the Jews be put to death her life is in danger as well. In spite of the warnings to keep silent and hide her heritage, Hadassah struggles to save her people. The moment came where she had to go before the King unsummoned, which was certain death. Esther knew the risks but her faith in God helped her do whatever was needed to save the Jews.
Her strong faith in God brought about a great victory. She was looking death in the face but she still knew that there was at least a small chance that things would work in her favor. Big Faith, bring about Big results! Where is your faith?
